"I wanted a yacht that could sail into Key West Harbor, Annapolis or San Francisco Bay and people would come along side and yell 'Wow, what a beautiful boat!'" With this thought in mind yacht designer, boat builder, owner of one of the West Coast Florida's premier boat yards, yachtsman Jopie Helsen set about to make it happen. Starting with a hull & rig built by Hunter Marine, one of the worlds largest sailboat builders this totally custom beauty is elegant, fast and very eyecatching. Some of the many modifications include the addition of a backstay which allows the spreaders to be modified from their original backsweep of 35 degrees to 18 degrees - radically improving downwind performance. A custom "ice cream scoop" transom was built and moulded to the hull, lengthening the water-line, creating a beautiful profile and making for easy boarding. The yacht has been constantly upgraded and is ready to take her new owners wherever their dreams may guide them. |
